Signature 6 Week Community Service Mentorship

Our young folk already know what their neighborhoods need.

The Signature 6-Week Community Service Mentorship gives BIPOC, low-income, and underserved teens ages 13 to 19 an opportunity to get those needs met in partnership with WCAC and YouthWorks. We show them how to advocate, collaborate, and take action.

We invite our youth to identify a project that's meaningful to them and their neighborhood.

For six weeks, our young people put what they learn to work in the city. They cook for neighbors, pack care packages for unhoused folks downtown, and turn the issues they care about into projects they run themselves.

Youth learn to make their voices heard by the people with power to change the policies that affect them.

Youth meet with policymakers and legislators throughout the mentorship. By the end, a teenager who started out feeling unheard and unseen has stood up to power, spoken loudly, and watched their lived experience make an impact.

Request a workshop and put your students at the center of the conversation!

Any of these workshops can be brought to your school through our AdvocATE program. If there are students in your high school or middle school who deserve to be heard, we'll bring AdvocATE to them.
